A graduate from the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kirk Wilson is a skilled acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner. Kirk first became interested in Traditional Chinese medicine whilst he was learning dharma (Buddhist studies) from the sanga (monks) at Hwa Tsang Monastry in Sydney. When he combined this knowledge with what he had learned as an undergraduate psychology student at UNSW, he became inspired to find out more about the mind body relationship and its role in the manifestation of diseases.
In 2007 Kirk has commenced postgraduate research at the University of Technology Sydney. He is conducting a series of clinical trials exploring how acupuncture can be used most effectively to treat depression.
